On 17 September 2025, Embassy of India organised ITEC Day 2025 at the Corporate Hotel and Convention Centre, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. HE Mr G Damdinnyam, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources of Mongolia was the Chief Guest of the Event. In his remarks he expressed gratitude for the ITEC Programme of the Government of India. He also thanked Government of India for the support for the construction of the ORP in Dornogobi Province. The event was attended by around 250 ITEC Alumni from various Ministries of Mongolia. HE Mr N Enkhbayar, 3rd President of Mongolia, HE Mr O Nyamdavaa, Former Ambassador of Mongolia to India, Hon’ble Mr A Bayar, Speaker of the Ulaanbaatar City Council and Hon’ble Mr Kh Chinbat, President of the India Mongolia Alumni Association were present as the Special Invitees of the event. The event comprised cultural performance and sharing of experiences by the ITEC Alumni. In his remarks, HE Mr Atul Malhari Gotsurve, Ambassador of India to Mongolia said that the ITEC alumni are the brand ambassador of India-Mongolia friendship. Every year 200 scholarships are awarded under the fully funded ITEC programme of Government of India. In his interview to the MNB News Channel, Ambassador mentioned that 17 September 2025 is also special because it is the birthday of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi
