Embassy of India hosted a Reception to celebrate the 76th Republic Day of India and 70th year of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between India and Mongolia (1955-2025) at the Chinggis Khaan National Museum, Ulaanbaatar. The Chief Guest at the event was HE Mr Nyam-Osor Uchral, Chief of the Cabinet Secretariat and Minister of Mongolia who is also the co-chair of the India Mongolia Intergovernmental Joint Committee on Cooperation. During the event, Ambassador of India HE Mr Atul Malhari Gotsurve and HE Mr. N. Uchral jointly released the logo of the 70th year of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between India and Mongolia (1955-2025). The event was attended by the Diplomatic Corp, Members of Parliament, senior Government functionaries, Indian Citizens & PIOs, businessmen and other distinguished guests.

Embassy of India in collaboration with the Chinggis Khan Museum, Rampur Raza Library, India organised an exclusive exhibition of rare paintings from a 13th century book "Jami Al-Tawarikh-A compendium of Histories" from 7-9 February 2025 as part of the celebrations of 70th year of establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Mongolia. These miniature paintings depict the history of Chinggis Khaan, his ancestors and his successors. Senior officials from Ministry of Culture, Sports, Tourism & Youth, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and several Heads of Missions, diplomats and friends of India attended the inauguration event.

Embassy of India in collaboration with the Zanabazar Fine Arts Museum and State Deputy Cultural Ambassador Foundation organised an exclusive exhibition of Indian Art and Craft from 21 Feb to 01 Mar 2025 as part of the celebrations of 70th year of establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Mongolia. Senior officials from Ministry of Culture, Sports, Tourism & Youth, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and several Heads of Mission, diplomats and friends of India, 3rd President of Mongolia HE Mr N Enkhbayar attended the inauguration event.

The 5th Consultation meeting between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and India was held in New Delhi, the capital of the Republic of India. The Consultation meeting was chaired by L. Munkhtushig, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Sh. J. Mazumdar, Secretary (East) of the Ministry of External Affairs of India. A reception to commemorate the 70th anniversary was organised by the Embassy of Mongolia in India. Hon’ble EAM Dr S Jaishankar was the Chief Guest at the event.

The 25th National Competition of Indian Dance “Melody of the River Ganga” was organised by Embassy of India in collaboration with the Mongolian Children’s Palace to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between India and Mongolia. The Competition was jointly inaugurated by HE Mr Atul Malhari Gotsurve, Ambassador of India and Dr B Tsengelmaa, Director of the Children’s Palace of Mongolia. Around 450 Students from all the Provinces of Mongolia participated in the Competition performing various dance forms of India in the dance competition.

Embassy of India in association with the Constitutional Court of Mongolia, Institute of Constitutional Law of the National University of Mongolia and the Centre of Indian Studies in Mongolia organised a Conference on “The contributions of the Constitutions of India and Mongolia in Nation Building” at the Embassy of India to celebrate the 134th Birth Anniversary of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar (the Chief Architect of the Constitution of India). The event also commemorated the 75th Anniversary of the Constitution of India (1950-2025) and the 70th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Mongolia and India (1955-2025).

HE Mr Atul Malhari Gotsurve, Ambassador of India to Mongolia participated in the opening session of the International Conference on India-Mongolia: Celebrating 7 decades of Diplomatic Relations and a Decade of Strategic Partnership organised by the Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA) and Embassy of Mongolia in India at ICWA New Delhi. In his remarks, Ambassador highlighted the entire gamut of bilateral relations for the past 70 years. Ambassador of Mongolia to India, Acting DG of ICWA, students and academia, scholars on India Mongolia relations participated in the event.

Embassy of India and Miss Mongolia Association of Mongolia partnered for organising the Miss Mongolia 2025 Competition as part of the celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between India and Mongolia. During preparatory session, Miss Mongolia contestants had photo-shoot at the Embassy in traditional Indian sarees. The finale and crowning ceremony of the Contest was held on 4th July 2025.

Embassy of India, Institute of International studies under the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia jointly organised a scientific conference titled 'Spiritual and Strategic partners: Mongolia and India - Seven decades of Diplomatic relations' to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of Diplomatic Relations between India and Mongolia at the Consensus Hall of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia. The inaugural session was addressed by HE Mr N Enkhbayar, 3rd President of Mongolia, Mr L Munkhtushig, State Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, Mr Ts. Tserendorj, Vice President of Mongolian Academy of Sciences and HE Mr Atul Malhari Gotsurve, Ambassador of India. Mr E Odbayar, Foreign Policy Advisor to the President of Mongolia was the guest of honour. Khamba Nomun Khan Most Ven Lharampa D. Javzandorj of Gandantegchenling Monastery, Ms G Hulan, Director General, Asia Department, MoFA, Prof Amb O Nyamdavaa, Dr D Zolboo, diplomats, Embassy officials, Academicians, friends of India and Mongolia participated in the event. The sessions included: The Historical Development and Current Cooperation between Mongolia and India; Ancient Ties and Spiritual Neighbourhood between India and Mongolia; Mongolia, India Strategic Partnership: Foreign Policy common interests; Trade and Economic Relations; Defence Cooperation; Research on Sanskrit language; Sanskrit Grammatical works in Mongolia; the Buddhist Philosophy in India, Tibet and Mongolia. The Event was widely covered by the media.

State Visit of President of Mongolia HE Mr Khurelsukh Ukhnaa to India from 13-16 October 2025. The visit coincided with the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Mongolia and 10th anniversary of Strategic Partnership.  During the visit, Hon. Vice President of India, Speaker of the Lok Sabha, Raksha Mantri, EAM and Ministry of Health & Family Welfare/Minister of Chemicals and Fertilisers as well as National President of BJP paid a courtesy call on him. Hon. Prime Minister held delegation level talks at the Hyderabad House where both leaders also planted a commemorative tree sapling in the garden to symbolize the friendship and solidarity between the peoples of Mongolia and India. A commemorative stamp marking 70th year of establishment of diplomatic relations was also released by the Hon. Prime Minister and President of Mongolia. The Mongolian President also met and held talks with Hon. President of India at Rashtrapati Bhawan where Hon. President of India hosted a banquet. Hon. PM also announced 70 additional seats for Mongolian under ITEC programme whereas Mongolia formally joined International Solar Alliance and International Big Cat Alliance while reiterating support to India for the permanent seat in UNSC. A total of 10 MoUs/Agreements were singed & exchanged during the visit

Embassy of India and the Mongolian Children's Art Creativity Centre  jointly organized "Colours of Friendship: Children's Painting and Art Competition" to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of Establishment of Diplomatic Ties between India and Mongolia (1955-2025). HE Mr Atul Malhari Gotsurve, Ambassador of India and Ms D Uranbileg, Director of the Mongolian Children's Art and Creativity Centre distributed the prizes to the Winners in various Age Categories of the Competition. Around 700 Children from all parts of Mongolia participated enthusiastically in the Competition.

Embassy of India, Ulaanbaatar and Government School No. 69, Ulaanbaatar jointly organised the "India Week 2025" at the School to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of establishment of Diplomatic relations between India and Mongolia (1955-2025). The week long programme included a Quiz on India; Painting and Essay competition with India centric themes. Several Indian films dubbed in Mongolian language were screened during the week. About 2000 students participated enthusiastically in the competition. On 23 Dec 2025, the award distribution ceremony was held in the School with HE Mr Atul Malhari Gotsurve, Ambassador of India to Mongolia as the Chief Guest. Principal Oyunsaikhan and Mr B Unurbayan, Governor of 5th Khoroo of Bayanzurh District were also present.

Embassy of India, Ulaanbaatar and Rajiv Gandhi Polytechnic College of Production and Art, Ulaanbaatar jointly organised the “India Through My Eyes” Competition (Quiz & Essay) for the students in December 2025 to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the establishment of Diplomatic relations between India and Mongolia (1955-2025). On 29 Jan 20206, an award distribution ceremony was held at the college with HE Mr Atul Malhari Gotsurve, Ambassador of India to Mongolia as the Chief Guest. The function included well curated with cultural performances from Mongolian students.
