    On 2 Apr 2026, the Joint Working Group (JWG) meeting on Cooperation in Health Sector was held between India & Mongolia through Video Conference. Several areas of cooperation including Digital Health, Drugs & Medical Products Regulation, Primary Health Care & Traditional Medicine were discussed. In his remarks, Ambassador HE Mr Atul Malhari Gotsurve mentioned that India is the top destination for Mongolian Patients for treatment for liver, heart cancer & eye ailments. He also highlighted scope for cooperation in the field of Generic Medicines on the lines of the success of Jan Aushadhi (People's Medicines) of India which can slash medicine prices upto 90%. Indian side was led by Ms Geetu Joshi, Economic Advisor, MoHFW and the Mongolian side by Dr B Tuya, Director General of the Department of Policy and Planning, Ministry of Health.
