Prof Gendendaram, Alumni, Indologist, renowned author visited his
house on the occasion of the Mongolian Lunar New Year Tsagaan
Sar. During the visit, Prof Gendendaram, a nonagenarian, recalled
his fond memories when he went to study Hindi in India in the
1940s. He has translated several Indian classic works in Mongolian
like Panchtantra, Rama Charit Manas, Meghdoot, Buddha Charitra,
Godan, many novels of the great Rabindranath Tagore and Munshi
Premchand. He is a true India- Mongolia Cultural Ambassador who
worked at the Mongolian Embassy in New Delhi on 3 separate
occasions. He gifted a set of his works to Ambassador.
