    On 09 June 2026, Hon'ble Lt Governor of Ladakh, HE Mr Vinai Kumar Saxena visited the Pethub Monastery in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia and paid floral tributes to the Mahatma Gandhi statue in the Monastery premises. He paid tributes at the main temple. In the lunch meeting hosted by Ven 20th Bakula Rinpoche Stanzin Ngawang Jigmet Wangchuk, the following dignitaries participated – HE Mr B Purevdorj, Deputy Speaker of the Mongolian Parliament, HE Mr N Enkhbayar, 3rd President of Mongolia, HE Mr B Tserennadmid, Governor of Arkhangai Province of Mongolia, HE Mr B Bat-Erdene, Former Minister of Defence of Mongolia, HE Mr Atul Malhari Gotsurve, Ambassador of India to Mongolia and Mr Mr Sonam Wangchuk, Deputy Director General of the Asian Buddhist Conference for Peace (ABCP), Mr D Choijamts, President of ABCP, Dr. Ch. Dambajav, Khamba Lama of Dashichoiling Monastery and senior monks from the Gandantegchenling Monastery
