ICCR's Scholarship Notification for the Academic Year 2026-27

The Indian Council for Culture Relations (ICCR), Government of India offers free scholarships to Mongolian students for the Academic Year 2026-27 to pursue Diploma/Bachelor’s/Master’s/Doctoral degree in various disciplines including Engineering, IT, Business Administration, Humanities, Commerce, Science, Buddhist Studies, Languages, Art and Culture, etc.
Interested candidates with the age limit of 18 to 35 years (40 years for Ph.D) with good academic record, background in relevant subjects and proficient knowledge of English may apply online by logging in ICCR portal at http://a2ascholarships.iccr.gov.in Details including FAQs, instructions, guidelines, university list, courses offered, etc. can be viewed at the ICCR portal. The scholarships include tuition fees, monthly stipend, two-way economy class airfare, visa and House Rent Allowance for accommodation.
LAST DATE OF SUBMISSION OF ONLINE APPLICATION IS 15th April, 2026
Please note the following:
- Online application should be submitted latest by 15th April, 2026 through ICCR Portal.
- Interested candidates may visit the website of the University/Institute and check on courses offered, eligibility criteria and general information about the University/Institute before applying for admission.
- Applicants will have the option to apply to 5 Universities/Institutes in the order of their preferences.
- While mentioning choices, the applicant should clearly mention the course for which they are seeking admission.
- A 500 word essay in English has been introduced to ascertain English proficiency of the applicant. Besides, applicants can also submit their TOEFL/ IELTS etc. standardized Test scores, if available.
- ICCR does not award scholarships for courses in Medical, Law and Casual Research.
- Applicant must produce a medical fitness certificatefrom a recognized hospital in the prescribed format available along with the online application form.
- It is compulsory for selected ICCR scholarship students to procure Medical Insurance policy with minimum coverage of Rs. 500,000 per annum (equivalent to US$ 5500 approx.). Students can purchase medical insurance from any of the insurance company of their choice.
- Students applying for Phil / Doctoral courses should submit a synopsis along with the application.
- An applicant should have studied Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry at Higher Secondary level to be eligible for admission to Science and Engineering courses.
- It may please be noted that submission of application form does not guarantee admission of the applicant in any Indian University/Institute under ICCR scholarship.
